Books and More Books
Eliza always loved reading. When she was a baby she would sit in her crib paging through board books. Later she memorized Twas the Night Before Christmas and recited it to her infant sisters, demanding their undivided attention. Over the years she read both fiction and nonfiction broadly. Goodreads was her favorite form of social media and she encouraged everyone she knew to join, so that she could learn what moved and mattered to her friends and family. She kept a small book of quotes that she copied from some of her favorite books. Check out her Goodreads favorites below.
Poetry
Eliza’s grandmother Lynore Banchoff wrote Eliza on the Phone soon after her granddaughter was born. It is featured in her new collection, More Than a Backward Glance. The new book also includes Invitation, which was shared as the final reading at the October 30th Memorial Service. If you are interested in learning about book orders, click here.
You can also order Lynore’s first book of poetry, Past Tense and Parts of Speech on Beech Street, on Amazon via this link.
